In 2007 alone, American women birthed more than 4.3 million babies — the highest number ever. From Heidi Klum, who's pregnant with her fourth child in five years, to Nadya Suleman, who earlier this year gave birth to octuplets despite having six kids already at home, there seems to be a bumper crop of baby bumps out there. Do you think that pregnancy can turn women into "bumpaholics"?

I'm not saying it's right to be addicted to pregnancy, but I can understand it, it's a wonderful feeling and a great time in your life.

I am a mother of 6 boys ages 9,8,7,5,22mos,7mos. I can say that after a while I felt funny not being pregnant; I was for so long.

Some rare circumstances may allow a woman to become obsessed with pregnancy, but most women who enjoy pregnancy also enjoy having kids.

I find this label offensive. Historically, family size has shifted back and forth. Couldn't bigger families today be a sign of the times?

It is terrible to imply that all pregnant women somehow have a real psycho problem. Perhaps the real addicts are this study's busy bodies.

People treating it like an addiction ought not to be having kids at all. A child is a human life and big responsibility, not a "fix."

I love being pregnant & being a mom. Just because some couples choose to have more than the average two doesn't mean they are addicted!

The urge to get pregnant is SO strong, it is very consuming, I stopped at two though. Getting fixed was the only way to stop, for me.

I do think it is addictive for some women. And then many of them don't take care of the kids later on. Sad.

I hope the children aren't teased by classmates when they are teenagers, esp about the potty training episodes. Those were TMI, IMO.
