I only return damaged goods, as in, damaged at the store goods. I can't believe people actually do this... stupid.

I try to control my binge shopping, staying on budget for months then spending like a drunken sailor when an emotional issue hits.

The only time I would ever return an item is if it was clothing that didn't fit, or an incompatible item for a piece of technology.

This is very unethical behavior.

I read once that when buying anything, ask yourself if you could live without this. I've saved lots of cash by walking away.

Easy to shop on-line, but then items don't fit or don't look as good in real life, so I return them. May be better to shop in stores.

If it's clothes and doesn't fit right or looks bad outside of the store I'll return.

I never damage things or remove the tags on a return. I simply regain control of myself and return the item within days of the purchase.

Depends on what it is, if its something thats advertised to do something and does not perform as advertised it goes straight back.

Unless it doesn't fit right (clothing) or the wrong color, then I'll return it right away, or defective items.

If it's defective, it's going back, but I prefer "an ounce of prevention" when shopping - I spent 2 yrs shopping to finally buy my truck...

When I am with my 3 yr old, I often buy clothes for myself, try them on at home, and return the ones that didn't fit. They are not damaged

I buy online b/c most clothes arent available in stores. I go in the store to return it so i wont be charged shipping fees.

Before I buy something I make sure it is something I want or need, and something that I can afford.

I come close, but never buy things and return them. Only time I do that is if the item purchased doesn't last in a short period of time.

Never damaged anything to return it or bought something with the intent of wearing/returning, but I do have a problem. Work in progress.

I am a shopoholic but I generally never take anything back...If I end up not wanting it I give it to someone else..So it becomes their junk

I have never returned anything because I felt bad about buying it. I have felt bad after spending what little I have.

I think retailers should adopt a five-returns-maximum-a-year policy. It is clear that these people are abusing the current return policy.
