Agree on a fair way to divide the bills. Then keep separate bank accounts. Each person is responsible for their agreed upon share of the divided bills, their own personal bills, and spends the rest of their own hard earned money how they see fit. No fighting over where the money in the shared account went, who's money is who's, no "asking permission" and fighting if an agreement is not reached. You want something, work hard and save for it with your own money. And also - no credit cards! They are nothing but trouble! Remember, fighting over money is the biggest cause of divorce.

Be true to each other. NEVER flirt with someone of the opposite sex. Once committed, give 110%! It's amazing to see that some couples are like two ships in the night, never communicating. You have to put your spouse & marraige first, second only to God. Your children need to have that security that mom and dad are united. NEVER fight in front of your children. If you do, forgive each other in front of your children. Make sure that you don't have unhealthy secets kept from your spouse. Always, ALWAYS treat them like they are your best friend. Your spouse SHOULD be your best friend. Give each other needed space, trust them, talk about issues before they become a battle. Agree to disagree at times. Have faith.
