About 70 percent of Americans agree that it's beneficial for women to take a husband's last name when they marry, according to a study conducted by Indiana University and the University of Utah. It also found that younger women are just as likely to change their name as their baby boom counterparts. Is this an important custom for establishing a marital and family identity?
