I died in a motorcycle accident. Somehow I went to a phone booth and called my wife and told her about the accident, but when the paramedics got to the accident I was still under the motorcycle with a badly injured back. I remember what life after death was like.

As far as life after death and what happens when we "clinically die" - please trust those reputable people who can and have communicated with those that have passed on. There most certainly is life after this one, it is just in another realm. "Death" is not a good term to use, as our spirits do pass on into this other realm. Those that have passed on are able and do communicate with people on this earth. Is there more after "clinical death"? Absolutely! Keep an open mind, and look at signs - they are sent top us every day by those that have passed on and crossed over.

It is with joyful assurance that there is life after death......"those who believe in the Father will have life everlasting".....it is in Christ, the belief, acceptance that he died for me, and the knowledge that I am not saved by works, but through faith alone, that I will live in heaven after this life.

I don't know if god exsists or not, I would like to, because maybe he was responsible for the big bang. However I will say this, if the Afterlife was real, and everybody known it was real, then no one would fear death. Because I think that's the real reason everyone fears it, because we don't know whats on the other side.

When I was 33, I "died" on the table during a neurosurgical procedure. While I was "gone", I had a visit from a young seminary student who had daily been at my bedside prior to the surgery, one in a series that year. In our conversations, despite my failing belief that I would ever leave the hospital to resume a "normal" life again, she persisted in propping up my faith on the shoulder of hers that everything would work out for the best. In surgery, as I slipped away, she came to me again, this time with pictures of my then young daughters and promised me that I would be returning to them. 23 years later, I am living proof. I can't testify to the afterlife, but I have no doubt that an angel was looking after me.

I'd sure like to believe in God and a life after death. However, when every religion claims to be the way, and they all tell you you will go to hell for not believing them, and each is clearly much more inspired from man than any kind of divine intervention; I find it ridiculous that people believe in such drivel.

I find it hard to believe that such a supposed good and kind god is so bored that he would send souls to this world to #1) not know he exists and have to figure that out themselves by choosing from corrupted religions and #2) to put souls in an environment with murder, torture, and other pathetic forms of social deviance.

In the end, I think that anyone with an objective mind sees that God is clearly man made.

It's not all about us, or about anything in particular; well, maybe it's all about bacteria, and we're just here as their hosts because we can move bacteria around faster and further than they move on their own; or, maybe it all about viruses instead of bacteria, I'm not sure yet. But, since there are only mythological stories about people coming back to life after they were really dead (like after they were buried), and since I've known a lot of folks who have died, none of whom have come back after they were buried or even during their visitation at the funeral home, it appears that we, like other animals, are dead when we're dead. That's it, no more. It's over.

Since ketamine supposedly produces the same kind of OBEs why don't they just try the 2nd test (photo display) with volunteers who are given this drug?  It could provide reproducible results a lot faster and easier than waiting for a dead person to be revived.

Anyone with an inquisitive mind and basic intelligence can readily see that there is a Supreme Force that we choose to call GOD. Look around. The order that exists in our environment, in our everyday life, didn't and doesn't just happen in and of itself. Some all controlling force - God - pulls the strings, directs the energy of the vast universe - creates order.

Whether one believes in the existence of this Supreme Force- God -through an organized religion or not is unimportant. Recognizing the fact that we exist and that this phenomenal thing called the "human mind" doesn't last a mere 80 or 90 years but moves on and continues forever in one form or another - even possibly reincarnation, is apparent.

Why is it everyone claiming life after death has a strong religious affiliation? That truly skews the results on an objective test.

Without going into a lengthy debate and having to disarm all those vantillian presuppositional apologetics arguments, the fact is this. Under certain drugs the mind can be fooled, it's naive and foolish to think that these things cannot occur naturally.

Why is so much time wasted with where you are going, and no energy spent on where you came from and where you were.

There can be no science if religion is involved.

Science presumes a question, experiments, evaluates findings, and concludes an answer.

Religion presumes an answer and then sets off to find the right question for justification. It doesn't bother with the other bits.

Man made god, not the other way around. Think of this. Man shares the same key traits as every single living thing on the planet. Eat, Replicate, Die. From the smallest bacteria to the largest mammel, it's all the same. Man has a tool called reason, it allows us to create tools, societies, et al. This isn't a gift, it's more a curse, because with that tool came self awareness ,and then questioning existance, and with that, religion.

Also, to be truly objective, would mean to be truly non - devout in one's faith. To be objective, you must ask the question: "What if I am wrong?", and set about trying to prove you are or are not.

I had it happen when I was 18 years old. I wouldn't talk about it for years thinking people would think I was crazy.

After death is eternal life which you must choose in life & if you do not choose it you will die away from the Lord for eternity: Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

It's not all about us. If it's about anything, I think it's about bacteria or maybe viruses, and we're merely here as their hosts because we can move then around further and faster than they can travel on their own. If there is life after death, there must be life before life...this would lead one to believe in past lives...and if that was true then what did the very fisrt of those lives derive from?

surely not from just Adam or Eve, they were just 2 now there are billions....

.....and just like the first two... every single person on the face of the earth gets only ONE life and when it has left the body and or, the body can no longer sustain it it leaves...

it may still exist but without a body to contain it, its energy is scattered to the cosmos... never again conscious of anything reassembling a human...

Unfortunately, this is the modus operandi of fundamentalist religions. True religion recognizes that there are great mysteries, and provides the seeker with the tools to explore them, just as science does. Spiritual experience, of which OBE is one, provides the motivation to begin or to keep seeking.

We are NOT a physical being who may or may not have a spirit. We ARE spiritual beings who manifest in a physical world. This is our true reality.

What foolish statements come from those that try to "reason" No wonder we live in the world we live in. Science classifies man as an animal, well I've seen proof here: those that claim there is no God or there is no life after death. Yeah, you people will die and definitely go somewhere whether you accept the fact or not, you will have no control of ANYTHING once dead.

I've been close to a death a number of times, and as a result don't fear it -- even though I don't see any compelling reason for there to be anything after this life. The brain is an amazingly complex mechanism, and so is our personal psychology.

Visions of visitations by angels, dead family members, and bright lights are just neurons struggling to fire when there is low oxygen, and glimpses of (usually) comforting things are from our subconscious. The idea of life after death is comforting to most people -- but it's that powerful desire to be comforted that leads to many people thinking there is something 'greater'; and so people put all sorts of idealized interpretations around what they may see when they are in that near death state.

If you're not happy in this life, do what you can to make it better -- because this isn't a dress rehearsal.

we came from God and returned to God, now the question is what is God???God is= existence, would come close to explaining it....what forms existence????????God does. what forms the universe, particles, when infinity reach it ends its only its beginings....zero is something meaning nothing is God nothing you can see, there for you say god don't exist "we do', though even if you don't see it it still there, why infinity has not end in sight????"there is no ending of life"(what is life existence/more detail need) hard to explained with out writing a book to long for a life time...

In my opinion, I believe what my Bible tells me, because no one has EVER disproved any of its facts. It tells us that to be absent from this world is to be present with the Lord Jesus Christ. I prefer to believe that my family serves a living God who does not lie.
