One day you would think that people will learn to keep their d**k in their pants!

Why do Hollywood celebs get a pass on such behavior? We applaude his "public disclosure" as though his confession rights several wrongs. He has taken advantage of his position over other employees with little to no regard for the result of his actions. Sadder still is the response of the audience who laughed at this sad display of unrestrained immorality. Mr. Letterman presents himself as the victim. Hardly. The seared conscience of the present culture is the result of beliving there are no rules. Blackmail is wrong and it is a crime. But so is the behavior of Mr. Letterman.

There are two schools of thought on this: deny, deny, deny due to legal ramifications, or full disclosure that aborts the extortion. I also feel that, if Letterman were a typical manager or employee that had sex with employees, he would be discharged with cause. Since he is the star of his own show and many people depend on his stardom for their jobs, he is treated totally different and CBS will probably do everything they can to protect him. It is and always has been a double standard.

The women working for Mr. Ltrmn, are all of adult age, and able to make adult decisions. I am a female that is TIRED of women playing the VICTIMS. If ur boss is hitting on u, there r things u can do, besides sleep or bj. There had to b pictures or something bad enough to b used for blackmail..so one or more of these WOMEN were not so INNOCENT. LETS FACE IT WOMEN A LOT OF US ARE MANIPULATORS..and smarter than MEN

We don't know when these acts took place or the circumstances surrounding them. I know a lot of women that would get a high from being involved with a man in so much power and with so much money. If these were mutual relationships (or whatever you want to call them) and there was no pressure or promise involved, then who cares as long as it was two legal adults. Obviously the women involved aren't bothered by it. Until the fact are known I would think people could hold their speculation long enough before passing judgement. This is 2009, this happens EVERYWHERE. I have seen many marriages come from office relationships and to my understanding so has Lettermans marriage and a long time ex-girlfriend. You can't help with whom you are attracted to and Love comes as it choses. Being that people work so closely together, it only comes natural to have such feelings.

I think it is quite common to find sexual relationships between coworkers. This whole thing was exposed because of some greedy man that couldn't handle his own demise. If he was not breaking the law who cares with whom he was having sex with that is his buisiness. I hope he makes this a joke, because it gives him opportunity to persevere through more celebrity bashing brought on by societies obsession with celebrity life.

I think that the affairs that David Letterman had were obviously consentual or, especially in this day and age, if one of those women had felt pressured or uncomfortable in any way, they would have been the ones to come out with this, with most likely a lawsuit. People spend most of their time at work in their lives and it is not uncommon for affairs to occur, within the office space, whether it be between same level associates or with a superior. I think that David was smart to admit this himself rather than have it come out in a different manner.

Just shows what an idiot he is and his audience as well. Who laughs and then appaulds when someone admits to transgressions as he revealed. Jerks have sex with their employees. It almost always leads to problems. I'm sure that CBS has rules against fraternization of this kind (employer-employee). Its time for some new blood on CBS late night and have D.L. trundle off with his wife and son to his estate to count his money.

Does anyone really care (other than those involved who may be or have been married or in relationships with others) about D.L.'s sex exploits? There are better things for the news media to present to the public.

Why is the U.S.A. which is trillions of dollars in debt financially guaranteeing Chicago's bid for the Olympics in 2016? Lets get our financial situation straightened out before we make such committments. Housing, feeding the poor, employment, health care should be of primary consideration, not fun for the elite of the world.

I'm tired of people saying "they are all adults and can make adult decisions" People know what is right and what is wrong! It is wrong for a owner/boss of a company to have a sexual relationship with a worker in the company. Period. It's like saying, it's okay that two consenting adults that are cousins should have a relationship! Just because you are an adult doesn't make it okay to lie, cheat & steal! If people would live RIGHT there wouldn't be over half the problems going on.

Internist Stephanie Birkitt aka "Vicky" always appeared to be way too cozy with Dave on the show. I always sensed Dave was diddling this chick. She definitely got maximum air time for a mere intern (that wasn't all that pretty, imo).

But hey, to each their own. Girls bangin' mega stars is nothing new. I can't wait for Dave's "Top 10 Interns I've nailed" to come out.

Kudos to Dave for breaking this before the media fried him first. So rare to beat the press in these types of dealios. Handled right or wrong has yet to be seen. I'm sure the residual effects are only about to begin.

Please!!Consentual work place relationships happen every day. Sometimes it involves executives and sometimes just other co-workers. Adults have a choice if there was no force. Relationships also end everyday. It is wrong to get paid for bringing up the past. David did not get away with anything......... this is something millions of men and women engage in everyday. Just shows the level of immorality our culture is at. The crime here is BLACKMAIL!!! THAT IS JUST WRONG!!

Letterman shows that he is a typical liberal. He has absolutely no shame about all his devious sexual affairs with empty headed staffers. He in effect makes light of what is betrayal of his wedding vows while his amoral audience support him with their mindless laughter. No wonder this low class creep has such hatred for someone like a Sarah Palin. Like most liberals her traditional morals threaten him.

DL has always been a private guy, was divorced for well over 20 years. A big deal will be made of this because it's the 1st time any "dirt" has been dug up, plus the fact he beat the media to the punch. Why shouldn't he have dated or been in any relationship? As far as being staff members, the show has been his life & those women are with him on a daily basis, probably his only social contacts. He is human. The media will have a circus with this cuz they could never get to him. I would be more concerned about public figures (i.e. politicians) that are supposed to represent us, stand there & preach "family values" & "morality" & are married. I'm sure this happened before his marriage & will be true to his new wife and son. I'll continue to watch his show. Who are we to judge??

Whether his actions were right or wrong, his full disclosure was sincere in my view.  He shared this with his audience as you would with a friend.  The audience was at first clueless that he was serious. So all that laughter was before they realized he was telling the truth. This was no "10 REASONS DAVID LETTERMAN HAS FROWNS ON HIS FACE" I think he did the right thing, and hopefully each time these events were mutual. I will support David for the way he  shared this with his audience. 

Seriously! If you scroll through and read all these comments it's just mind bending how hypocritical some can be. "Empty headed staffers"? Talk about offensive conjecture. And don't even get me started on Sarah Palin. It's clear that people that had an axe to grind with Dave over SP are going to jump at this latest drama as more proof that Dave is immoral.

Dave is not an evangelist. He doesn't pretend to be anything he's not. And until recently he was an unmarried adult. Were relations with staff members a poor choice, maybe. But, if the women he was involved with had a problem with it, don't you think we would have heard about it before now?
