Years ago, a friend of mine had the perfect hangover cure. Two Jack-In-The-Box tacos and a diet Coke. Worked like a charm for him every time!
There are two ways that work for me very very good. The most important one of all is time. Sleep it off. The next one is I drink Gatorade (slowly but the whole thing within 1 hour) with a Tylenol or Advil for hydration and headache and I will start noticing a huge difference as I replenish my electrolytes. If I am extremely nauseous, then I just go back to bed and wait until I feel a bit better before I drink Gatorade. Then top it off with some Taco Bell since we don't have a single Jack in the Box down here in South Florida.
Smart. Hangovers are nothing but dehydration. Replenishing the fluids WHILE you drink (alternate a glass of water or coke with each alcoholic drink) and then before bed drink a huge glass of water (or Gatorade) - 16 ounces, at least. In the morning, you will either have NO hangover or very little.
Yep, that's what I do... Pound as much water as I can just before I go to bed. When I am FORCED in the middle of the night to get up to use the bathroom; tylenol and ibuprofin, then more water and back to bed. If I do that, I never get a hangover... The gatorade idea is excellent too.. Of course the best way to avoid a hangover is to not drink at all, but then ya run the risk of NOT drunk texting pics of yourself naked to your boss, and lets face it...that's always fun.
Gatoraid, Redbull and a couple of Vicodin - works every time!
Drinking in moderation works for me.
Alkaseltzer and a tumbler of water before bed...the previous post on dehydration is right. Assuming you do not blackout first.....
Have another beer. Get right back into it.
DON'T get loaded in the first place. There's nothing wrong with tipping a few back, but use some common sense. I don't need to get drunk to have fun and make a complete idiot out of myself, unfortunately I can make an idiot out of myself stone cold sober.
I could not agree more Pennie-719911. I quit drinking years ago when my oldest child asked me for some of my beer. I told her it was an adult drink and that it was not good for her. Her reply was "If it is not good for you why are you drinking it?" Maybe I was a little drastic, but I try to lead my children down the correct path. A little common sense goes a long way when these people are looking for a solution to their drinking issue.
I agree! I drank in my 20's. When I had my first child I stopped. Then decided when he was about 8, it would be ok to have a glass of wine now and again. Usually Christmas Eve while wrapping presents, or New Year's Eve while we watched Dick Clark bring in the New year.
try this!

IV fluids, an oxygen mask, and maybe a vitamin B12 shot do the trick every time I hear -- but they're kind of hard to come by for the average person.
If my drinking ever reaches levels where I need to be strapped into an oxygen mask the next morning, I think it'll be time for some reevaluation.
Absolutely total rubbish. Hangovers have many causes, including toxins from the alcohol, dehydration, flushing of water-soluble vitamins, lack of sleep and proper nutrition, etc. Pennie is 100% right. What is so good or honorable about being foolish enough to let yourself get drunk in the first place? If you can't have a good time without alcohol, you have a problem. Ladies...even ONE, yes, ONE drink per day can increase your chances of Breast Cancer. Like Russian Roulette?
Do not confuse heart health guidelines, (where one drink a day for females, and up to two per day for males), with alcohol and cancer.
PLUS, if you consume alcohol with a fatty meal, your liver metabolizes the alcohol first, sending the fat to your arteries and fat stores. Nice move.
Stop feeding the alcohol producers...they have enough $$$!!!!
BTW...I have seen too many friends die from Breast, Pancreatic, Lung and Prostate cancer...ALL the victims were drinkers.

EXERCISE!!!
James, we're all going to die one day. I say enjoy your life as much as possible. Protect your health as much as you can, but don't go overboard. Life is short, and you don't get another go at it.
Cheers!
Please!! drinking causes cancer? Then why didn't 99.9% of my family die from it? HMMM! Next you'll be saying breathing causes cancer, walking causes cancer, singing causes cancer. The only thing that CAUSES cancer is a gene passed from generation to generation.
oh and I know that because cancer runs back generations in my family. problem with your theory is about 88% of them were healthy active people. They never drank, they ate right and exercised. Yet cancer got them any way. Only one who died of cancer was a drinker. He drank a couple beers once or twice a month.
Hangovers are for lightweights ;). No, seriously, everyone's tolerance for alcohol is different. Learn what your limits are and don't exceed them, and you will never have to worry about hangovers. Also, sip water while drinking alcohol. It will reduce dehydration, which is the primary cause of hangovers.
Here's an idea - DON'T GET DRUNK IN THE FIRST PLACE! If you have enough experience with hangovers that you think you have a cure - you need an intervention.
You don't know anything if you think that. Just because someone has experience with something doesn't mean THEY have the problem. It could mean the people around them (family and friends) have the problem and they've been witnessing what they've tried. Besides that get off your high horse.
Of course we are all going to die. DUH! The KEY is to be able to enjoy life WITHOUT extra crap taken inside our bodies. We do NOT NEED alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc.
If one cannot have fun in life without these poisons, I sincerely suggest therapy.
I am not saying a drink...one drink with dinner, etc., once in a while will kill you, but any more, especially for women, just might.
We have not even TOUCHED on the subject of DRINKING AND DRIVING...!!!!
BUZZED DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING!!!!! The point of a designated driver is to let others DRINK TOO MUCH. BRILLIANT! Alcohol companies have very good marketing and PR Departments...
BTW...WOMEN metabolize alcohol differently than men. Guys, think of the consequences the next time you order an entire bottle of wine...way too much for good health...but...it make the restaurant owner/liquor store owner, very happy.
THINK!!!!! NEEDS and WANTS are very different!!!!
Happiness comes from INSIDE...not the inside of a bottle, etc.
My Brother swears by chocolate and Coca cola. My ex hubby says taking aspirin before drinking helps. For me, when out drinking, having a bottle of water in between drinks, or a glass of straight tomato juice always helped keep me hydrated. I think there are as many hang over cures as there are people in the world.
