I think that this is a very contradictory article. But though I do not agree with you, Jessica, I would love to find out more about your article. HOWEVER. I want to point something out; Notice how Jessica dresses. Shorter shirt, low tank top. She had sex while in high school, and doesn't find it a big deal to have given herself away. Look how Lakita... ? Is dressing. Though you may not have even noticed this, and it may mean nothing to you, it means something to someone, and stands as proof against you... I am here for a debate, not a put down against you, or your ideas, because I respect your opinions. But realize the emphasis that this fact puts against you. Though you are not being immodest, just notice the differences. Dressing nicely gives off the impression that you are respectable; you would like respect because you respect yourself. That way, men are less likely to take advantage of the situation, if there is one, and less likely to take advantage over you. Does that make sense? Thanks for your opinion, although you may get crap for it all the time, I know where you stand, though I do not agree with you.
Wow. You think I'd know better by now than to read the comments on sights like this.
The first poster isn't even worth mentioning except to note his inability to distinguish "losing one's virginity" from "sleeping around"; this is only notable because it pretty much proves your point.
The second poster seemed to have a knee-jerk desire to refute what you were saying but couldn't think of anything to disagree with logically so he or she simply decided to slut shame you because your neck was showing or something.
I looked at the reviews of this book on my book-sharing app on Facebook and many of the criticisms were from people saying that the book was making such an obvious point. However, the two responses here show that, sadly, what you are saying still needs to be said and discussed. Outside of the nice, egalitarian, rational bubble that many of us are fortunate live in, these ideas are far from obvious.
My reading list is a mile long, but your book is definitely on it, and in a high priority spot!
I guess you need to spew such filth in order to sell a book. That mentality, besides "embracing sexuality"(sleeping around) will also contribute to the fall of western society.
