Thats great idea. I have always helpĀ to needy kids last month i donated my car to charity organization hmmm thats is on http://www.outreachcenter.com/ They are provide same day pick up services.
Another source of info on car donation is http://www.howtodonatemycar.org . There are tips for donating, and a small directory of charities accepting car donations.
Important: Make sure that the organization you're considering donating your vehicle to is qualified as a 501 (c)(3) organization by the IRS. That will help to ensure that you get a tax deduction for your donation.
I donated my old Honda a few years back and it was a very simple process. All I did was sign over the title. I also asked them if they were a 501 (c)(3) organization and I was informed that since they were a religious organization that they were not required to be 501 (c)(3). I did more homework on it and lo and behold it was all correct. I asked that the donation be made to a specific charity of my choice and they did it for me! All in all I had a great experience with donating my old car. The website that I went to was www.onlinecardonation.org and if I ever need to donate a car again, that is where I will send my donations to! :)
PurpleHeartCars.org (http://www.purpleheartcars.org) has been a trusted car donation organization for over 75 years. All donations benefit disabled and combat wounded veterans. Purple Heart Cars is 501(c)(3) organization. <a href="http://www.purpleheartcars.org/" title="Donate Your Car">Donate Your Car</a>
Good article to follow. I work with charities in this area and this is really good advice. If your around Portland you can check out http://portlandoregoncardonation.com
You can always sell your car to an organization like this one too<a href"http://junkcarportland.com/cash-for-cars-portland.html/">cash for cars portland</a>
Find a charitable organization for your car donation online. For the maximum tax benefit, you must find a non-profit organization where the car donation will be used "in direct furtherance of the organization's charitable purpose." Examples would be either by the donate car being used in the business or the car being donated to a needy client.
After doing some digging, it can be a bit overwhelming to pick a charity that accepts a vehicle as a donation, let alone arranges pick ups. I found some good ones here: donate used car
Car Donation is much more than just a "tax bill". It's a chance to help those that may not necessarily be able to help themselves. Doctor and hospital bills can grow quickly and donating a car is a great way top help.
