Hey! Is the lady in the picture really as big as the picture makes her seem or are they using a panaflex camera or something? Maybe it's just the suit...is she really sticking out like that? How does she hold her gut in? Did she have to sit like that for a long time? Do they have to pull their shoulders back like I do to make my chest seem bigger? Is that the same lady...the one pulling off her bottom? Is she just making pretend or did they take the picture at the wrong time? Somebody needs to tell the photographer to not take pictures of ladies not quite dressed because he could get in trouble for that. The ladies in the pictures all look like they are not sure the photographer should be there in the first place. The photographer better go hide somewhere before the ladies get upset.
thank god they haven't ruined this, like they tried several years ago by being all feminist/pc and having boring swimsuits and drab models.

Seriously, do they ever have brunettes or redheads? How about Asians? Latins? African-Americans? Bi-racial? Seems a bit discriminatory. I can think of several women in the above categories that would be beautiful enough to grace a magazine cover.

I would just like to know 2 things:
1) What do women in skimpy bikinis have to do with sports?
2) If it is a swimsuit edition...doesn't it help for the woman to actually be WEARING the swimsuit?

Men love sports - men love women in skimpy bikinis - men buy Sports Illustrated. I know, women do also but a majority of SI's readers are men. Its called good marketing.
I would say its optional. I prefer that they don't! But that's just me!
It is not disgusting and degrading unless you look at it that way. If it was, the models wouldn't chose to do this. Read Brooklyn's quotes - she says it is an honor. If you are beautiful and have a great body, it is o.k. to share it - or show it off. Men do it all the time in fitness mags and no one complains or calls it disgusting and degrading.

Its become that any in-shape attractive people look anorexic compared to the fat azzes waddling around. I see fat butts everywhere that really think they look good in that tight top with the rolls hanging out, because they are not as fat as their friends. Nobody in those pics looks anorexic you are just used to muffintops everywhere. Personnally I have never spent a dime on an SI mag and always wondered how they decided to do the issue, but it is a regular. The funny thing is these women get paid how much for a couple of busy days work?
