Wow, this country is in big trouble! No wonder the US is falling behind everyone else, everything today is focused on image. Education has fallen way behind.
Good thing Pud, Dasbut, kirby and the f2bb crew were on top of it.
Couldn't "virgin bikini wax" be considered child abuse? Seems to me it would be painful for the child and would also qualify as a form of sexual exploitation? A stranger (who is not a doctor) would be touching a child's private parts--hmmm...what if grandpa offered to do the wax? What if grandpa owned a salon? Adults should be nowhere near the private parts of a child. If there is a problem with severe hair growth (it is possible) the procedure should be performed under a doctor's supervision.
"This wasn’t about the girl developing hair early — it was the mother’s obsession with wanting her daughter to be a supermodel.”
Some people have no right being parents. In today's world the rule seems to be "if your child wants to do something, by all means, let them do it." No is a dirty word. I think all couples today should go to counselling before conceiving a child to determine if they are fit to be parents.
What I would like to ask is why is it even legal to do this to your child by professionals? If a parent was to put hot wax on a child it would be considered abuse but take them to a salon and pay someone and its ok. I think any salon owner or worker why performs any type of waxing or body alteration of any kind on a child under the age of 16 should be charged. The only exception might be in those cases where some sort of medical need existed (physically or mentally).
Our children are growing up fast enough as it is why do some people feel the need to rush it even more? I feel for these little girls, don't be surprised when they develop eating disorders and self esteem issues.
Funny that if a parent were to put hot wax on a child it would be seen as child abuse but when you pay someone else to do it in a salon its ok.
And we can't work out why our youth are killing themselves, developing mental health issues and eating disorders? Our society bombards them with nothing but unreal expectations about body image and lifestyle. Wonder what it would be like if we put the same effort into telling them that are fine the way they are?
Big business has much to answer for along with the governments that let them get away with it.

We license people to own dogs or to drive cars, yet any moron can become a "parent."
This poor girl....
