What is the purpose of seperation? I don't get it. It is only in paper. The mind have left each other and that is all about it. In olden communist china, the government tells you where you should work (sometimes in another state). You are allowed to visit your wife or children once a year (chinese new year) and after that you are back to another state. However, people don't grew apart. You are married for life for goodness sake. Interesting. I still don't get it.

I was a patient of Drew Shiff's many years ago when he worked at NY Presbyterian Hospital. I saw him 3 or 4 times and found him to be passive-aggressive, flip and uncaring. He didn't return my phone calls so I switched to another doctor. Had heard he was really interested in getting into politics from someone on staff. One of the most obnoxious "rich boys" I have ever met.

"Growing apart" is NO excuse for divorcing your spouse. What is going to be any different? Divorced, they will see each other even less. So what's the point in this case, for Tipper and Al, to get a divorce? She states she wants to have fun and follow her passion which I thought she was doing with photography. The only sound reason I can see for them to divorce is a third person is involved. Perhaps Tipper meant she wanted to have fun with the new love in her life, which isn't her husband Al.
As far as the daughter goes, she needs to think about those 3 children she brought into the world, and depriving them of their daddy. Children of divorced parents are more likely to divorce, which she is proving to be right.
These people are just more celebrities, which are always changing their partners. It just makes me sick. What happened to "til death do us part"? Marriage is supposed to be for life and for better or worse and if people would realize that in the beginning, they wouldn't jump into marriage thinking they can always get a divorce if it doesn't work out.
In this case, they have three young children and I feel very sorry for those kids. +
Many times, the children think they did something wrong.

if one doesnt respect God, then the 'lifetime commitment' is based entirely on human emotion, there is no need in attempting to work thru personal problems, it is easier to separate or divorce.

Al Gore chose a phoney global warming scam over a beautiful wife and family. That being said, I feel very badly for them. I have been through a divorce. I would not wish that on anyone, including liberals. It is awful for all involved. As for their daughter, I hope she can work things out. I feel badly for all that go through this. Let's disagree on politics because of liberals keep at it, the USA will be a 3rd world country forever. All liberal countries fail, eventually. I think Al did the wrong thing talking about "global warming"...he dummied up a difficult scientic risk issue for the masses (like you), and it came back to bite us. No scientist would ever represent the magnitude, or even the direction of climate change as a certainty. But those with little to no technical or science background (check your transcripts....I mean you) think in very simple terms, and still use that phrase and chuckle about the "scam".

I'm convinced that this continuing Global Warming episode in Al Gore's life has destroyed his marriage and has changed the trajectory of his family's cohesiveness. When one places other interests above family, the outcome is almost always a failure in the home and in the marriage.
