7/18/2010 will be a year without sex for me . I am not losing any sleep over it .

Seriously, this is easy...I have a very demanding full-time job, and a house, family, 2 children, 7 pets, etc., to take care of...I'm tired 24/7...it would not be difficult at all to go without it for a year! Now, if I could just talk my husband in to it.. :)

It truly depends on where I am in life. However, as long as I am with my husband, I find it hard to withhold from intimacy. I have gone for a few years without sex before I got remarried. It really just depends.

I think a healthy sexual relationship is good for body, mind and soul. Sex for the sake of just having sex is not worth the effort.

duffey12345, You are very right!!!!!! When you are young it can be a beautiful thing and you will want to keep doing it. As we all mature, so many things get in the way that it gets shoved to a "better time". And when it has to wait for jobs, kids, energy, time, health, and only God knows what. Believe me to wait a year could be a vacation. My late husband is now gone 58 years. I do have fond memories. The wars we are not easy for anyone, ever. Abstinance is a very difficult thing, easier when you are old.

I really don't understand why anyone would aspire to having no sex for a year!

I lived with my husband for 7years and had no sex because he is like that and I am not very agressive either now he is living away from me but it doesn't matter to me I am totally satisfied the way I am living enjoying every moment of my life sex is not everything in life. Rspect and caring matters more. I have three kids in my peek time I enjoyed sex the most. Now I don't feel the urge to it either.WE are married sice last 36years we had our up and downs but I never felt that we are not made for each other.

I seem to have a different out look on sex. I want it all the time and my husband does not. We have been married for 10 years and together for 16 and I still want it every day. I can't imagine not having sex for a year. I get upset if I haven't had it in a week. I have a high sex drive I guess. Between you and I, there was one year my husband only had sex with me 1 time and I ended up having an affair. I think that when my husband doesn't have sex with me, he's not attracted to me. It's love and vulnerability and trust and non judgmental and beautiful and if we don't do it then we don't have those things in the most intimate ways. In short, it's good for the soul.

I have not had sex since 2003 and haven't lost any sleep because of it. I think my expectations were always too high when it comes to sex and I honestly cannot figure out what the obsession is.

In addition, I like a handsome penis and I think on most men they're ugly! For that reason alone I don't want their ugly creepy stem inside me. The interesting thing is that even in my 50s men are still trying to get me to do the deed and I'm just not interested. Was let go from a position in 2009 because I wouldn't allow my employer's ugly little one-eyed snake refudge. I couldn't believe a person can actually lose her/his livelihood behind such nonsense. Get it somewhere else!

never turn it down. at age 72, you will remember every time you did. LOL
