She has done most of the things that she is talking against. enough said on that one. She is out for the big bucks and yes if she could get on a ticket she would, she is working towards that going to other country's and talking,. Doing her Tea Party thing and trying to build up enough people to vote for her. It would be a very bad day if she did get on as there are some stupid people that believe her, without checking on her. Willowbrook - It's obvious you didn't vote for Barack Obama, which is certainly your right. But it also indicates, perhaps strongly, that you didn't want him in the White House in the first place. But being that this is a democracy, that's how it works. The most votes win. Electoral, as we all discovered when your guy got in for his 8-year stint and look how well things went for him: 9-11, two wars, Katrina, space shuttle Columbia disaster, declaring "mission accomplished" in Iraq. And let's not forget how "your" president piloted our country to the verge of financial disaster and straight into a recession the likes of which haven't been seen since the Great Depression. If you go to an "abortion web site," then you are going to an anti-legal-abortion website. If you are seeing "small arms and legs," then you are seeing something that they conconcted.

When what you like to call "partial birth abortion" was outlawed, so that parents whose children died in the womb or had horrible deformities that they would not survive could no longer have an intact fetus delivered so that they could mourn it and bury it with dignity--the clinics had to go over to the even more unpleasant tactic of dismembering the fetus and removing that. Those body parts are not exactly thrown into the trash where anyone can find them--the law requires them to be disposed of correctly.

Do some clinics violate this law--maybe a couple--but I don't think you're going to find a large number unless you go to China, which is probably where the photographs were taken. Yes, in China, they probably do this on a fairly regular basis and don't care about correct disposal. Remember, these people are creating things that are not necessarily what they purport them to be.

Most third-term abortions--which are the only ones for which you would be able to see identifiable body parts--are done on fetuses which are already deceased or horribly deformed and incapable of surviving. The few which are not should, in fact, be completely banned--but, sadly, one cannot have a sensible law about abortion that regulates it to only therapeutic abortions because of knee jerk bozos like you.

There are good and bad parts of ultrasounds and other prenatal care--the bad part is that people get to see exactly what a horribly deformed fetus looks like and they know when the fetus has died. I would not condemn some poor woman to carrying around a dead fetus or a horribly deformed one (I will resist describing what this can look like), or condemn them to carrying a fetus that cannot live--but will cost them a bankrupting amount of money when born and the hospitals/doctors insist on treating it without their permission--or worse yet will result in the mother's being rendered incapable of having more children or even her death when the pregnancy can't be completed.

I think that abortion should be therapeutic only--that is, a dead fetus, a non-viable fetus (even if it does happen to have, temporarily, a beating heart), or a pregnancy that cannot be completed with both the mother and child healthy and surviving. I think there should be an ethics board to review such cases and make recommendations, though I ultimately think this should be between the woman, her partner, and the doctor.

All the others, I think, could be prevented if young women could have their jobs protected, could get adequate medical care for a reasonable amount of money, could get their other children fed and clothed should they become ill during their pregnancies, could get protected from abusive partners, and could put their children up for adoption no matter what their abusive partners have to say. And, no, sorry--none of this is available to all young women in America. Dodos like you just think it is.

Did you know, for example, that in the state of Oklahoma, a young woman who had a child as a result of a rape--the rapist, a stranger to her, was imprisoned--was put under a judicial order to bring the child in for court-ordered visits with her father at the penetentiary. Yes, her father the imprisoned rapist. Charming, isn't it? I like to think that the sheriff didn't actually enforce the order, but I know that this happened.

Maybe you should learn to think rather than just absorb the propaganda being thrown at you by people who lie through their teeth rather than deal with the sad realities that not all pregnancies work out and some need to be terminated, that young women are not given any safety net should they choose to continue pregnancies, and particularly Catholic clergy who are trying to distract you from their own misdeeds by demonizing young women and diverting your energies from doing something to modernize their Byzantine structures. It might seem strange and hurt at first--but try thinking. It's good for you and after a while might come to be second nature.

I think the real issue was that Palin was interfering in their relationship. They had this in the news not to long ago that they were re-connecting While Palin was to busy flying around the country for the tea party and was to busy to interfer.

Don't claim to be more intellectual just because we have different opinions on things and you feel that you are "right" and I am "wrong".

To those of you who are irritated that Palin may want to run for office again, exercise your rights, and don't vote for her. If she doesn't get enough votes, she won't win. It's as simple as that. I don't particularly care for the current president, but he got the votes, fair & square (no comments on voter fraud please) so I'm not going to whine about it like a little baby. Additionally, YOU could run for office if you think you have a better plan for the country.

Yes, I have two extremely successful adult "children". I am very proud of their choices in life. It is at home, where they learned from their parents what a good role model teachs them. Kids are like sponges. We gave them the "tools" for success and they independently made excellent choices from what was experienced at home. There was no need to "run" their lives. Independence is Freedom if used wisely.

In the case of Bristol Palin getting married to this "bum", it will come back to haunt her. It is a rebellion against her mother's control over her life.

This does not work well when running for President of the United States. It is a point to pick on Sarah Palin's credibility, and if she can actually take charge of this country. Bristol's decision will not serve her mother well. This is Politics, not regular everyday people's lives.

Hawaii...I actually agree with some of what you say. True, we did think the people I mentioned were "lily white" until we put them in the White House, unwrapped the package and didn't get what we ordered. Although there were "red flags" around Clinton. However, keep in mind that Bristol is not running for any office. One can liken blaming Sarah for what Bristol does to blaming Hillary Clinton for what her husband did. No one said Hillary should go into hiding and not pursue her ambitions because she was tainted by her husband. Bristol is a kid, had sex, no spouse. Bill was a married man, and President, had sex, not with his spouse. Yet no one seems to think Hillary was done, over, or that she was tainted because of her husband, yet say Sarah is tainted because of her daughter.

I also have adult children of whom I am very proud. However, I know some families where the parents were stellar examples and raised their children every way that is considered loving, supportive and "correct". Yet some of the kids took their own path, didn't turn out to be sober, spurned education, a career, etc. Some kids do that ya know. They think they know it all and think their parents are clueless, "old fashioned" etc. So I think both you and I can not only pat ourselves on the back for our hard work and good example, and love, but also thank our lucky stars that we have adult children who chose to be successful, charitable, kind and contribute to society.

I don't know if Palin would do any worse than what we have now. At the very least Palin says what she means, and means what she says. Obama?...not so much. NEITHER one of them has the background or experience to run our great country. But..if I had to pick one, I trust Palin way more. I don't think she stands a chance at getting the nomination and I truly hope she doesn't run. I hate the way so many people take such sick pleasure in hateful wishes, and name calling for her, her husband and children for everything bad and attacking her ruthlessly....I don't want to be a witness to that behavior...not in America.

Yes, it is true that some parents aren't as lucky. Lucky, I'll take that back. It is continual telling them you love them, no matter what;, but the peers they choose as friends are most influential in their later years. We set the "foundation" for good work ethics, community involvement and respect for others.

Bristol does reflect on Sarah Palin, (Politics) in the fact Sarah might represent the US as President. What was in this odd relationship with Levi, that she needed him this badly; even though he trashed her family. Forgiveness, Love? It is SO refreshing to have an adult and respectful conversation with someone on these posts. I thank you. I think that Bristol, now living in Anchorage, on her own, and being a single mother is finding it rather lonely, and she is in a very vulnerable state. This Levi character is probably taking advantage of that to put himself back in the picture now that his 15 minutes of fame didn't catapult him to celebrity. I'm sure once Sarah Palin and the Palin family are no longer in the headlines, he'll find their usefulness obsolete. Bristol's mother supported her and defended during a very difficult time, so I don't think she is rebelling against her. I think Bristol is just in a fragile state and never got over the break-up.

You do have a great point; it must be truly lonely raising a child on their own. The Palin's have the financial means to hire a nanny 24 hours a day, or at their own will. She may be addicted to this bad boy. Lots of girls love the adrenaline rush being with someone their parents don't approve of. They are trying to prove to themselves, they know what is best for themselves. The baby was used as a "pawn" or still is.

In this case, Bristol will find out that marrying Levi, and then eventually divorcing him, if that is the case, is harder to undo than the wedding. He will demand a lot of cash or extort money from the Palin's. This is bad all the way around. "A Zebra Never Changes Their Stripes"; that's Levi.

I don't think Sarah Palin will acknowledge this new son-in-law. She will keep a stiff upper lip pretending to accept him. It is a continual gnaw for a parent who knows their child has married someone who will break their heart.

My prediction is Sarah Palin will not run for President in 2010. She is better suited to cheer the Republican Candidates on, and be of help to others who are running. She also can be of help to Fox News, including making quite a lot of money.

I don't recall that it was Sarah who kept them from marrying originally, but if that's so, it's understandable. She could probably see, with a parent's eye, though this guy and was only trying to save her daughter from making a bigger mistake than she already had. All for naught at this point though since I am afraid Bristol is making another bad choice by marrying this opportunistic "zebra" .

As far as them hiring a nanny....Bristol doesn't live at home in Wasilla, she lives and works in Anchorage. I've read that it's either at a bakery or a doctor's office. I'm sure Palins help her out, but it wouldn't do her any good to be completely dependent on her parents or"bailed out" as so many parents do and the kids don't learn independence or that there are consequences for their choices.
