I love romance novels! They're about smart, contemporary people with real issues, finding real love. Best reading ever.

          It depends on what you call a romance novel. Many authors are crossing the line into crime & supernatural thrillers. Those I love!

          I read one once when I was a teen - mindless plot, boring sex, boring characters. A holloow experience, really.

            I like mixing in some romance with literature- totally fun and great to get off with. I love the way the genre is expanding its themes. :)

                Today's romance novels have something for everyone. Though I write murder-mystery, I read romance every chance I get!

                    There is no difference between reading a romance novel and going to an R-rated movie...only it allows your imagination to come forth.

                      How far back do you go for "romance novels"? Remember Jane Eyre and Pride & Prejudice are also considered romance novels, as well as racier classics like Lady Chatterley. "Trashy" and "romance" novels aren't 100% synonymous.
