President Obama and Joe Biden do not need Hillary to change positions to get re-elected. Please explain to me how it is Obama's doing that these things happened? These were already items set into motion before his time. The only part in getting rid of Osama was the 'Ok, go ahead'. The rest was our fine intelligence operations at work. Also, global healthcare is seen by many as not a great thing. That is purely personal for each person if they believe its good. My main problem with that is, now is the worst time for the global healthcare when our economy is failing. Where in the world do we get this money from for this plan?

I am a registered Republican and I did not vote for Obama; however I would have voted for Hillary had she won the Democratic nomination in 2008. Depending on what happens in the 2012 election and what Republicans are running in 2016; I could see myself voting for her in 2016. I don't vote party lines. I vote for the best candidate. I do believe that the biggest influence in Hillary not running is coming from ABC, NBC and CBS. "Failed presidency"--hmmmm. You know, the people who actually have read history books and know something about presidents rate GWB as being down in the lowest five presidents. Obama is rated above the middle.

The thing about a term like "failed" is that it is really subjective. I like quite a few of the things that have been done: the health care bill has a provision which allows states to circumvent it (well, the part people don't seem to like about requiring people to pay up or be fined, which was a Republican idea that is perfectly in line with the idea that OMG, 52% of people "pay no taxes" and they should pay their share) if they come up with a plan that will insure the bulk of their citizens. Several states have already come up with their own plans--though not the "red states," which are sitting around pretending that OMG, the federal plan is just forcing, forcing them to do exactly what they would have done themselves (as that was the Republican option to "Hillarycare," you know).

I like the rules that allow people to choose whomever they'd like to visit them in the hospital rather than allowing hospitals to continue banning people if they aren't "blood family" (which is a racist idea anyway). Such rules kind of take the steam out of activists who want to claim that we "have to have" gay marriage so that partners won't be banned from hospital rooms--as if gay marriage is the only option for that.

I didn't much care for TARP II, but since GWB had done TARP I, the only real option was to continue. Stimulus money is another humorous thing that Republicans claimed wouldn't help create jobs or float the economy--and then turned around and applied for the money claiming it would help them create jobs and keep their economies afloat. If Republicans liked the money enough to take it--well, probably, it was a good idea. (Let's remember that Rick Perry balanced the Texas budget using federal funds--though it possibly wasn't specifically the stim money--and, yeah, you can find that out yourself if you are good with numbers and can read a budget--it's all online.)

I appreciate the fact that Obama is a lot better liked in the world than GWB was--but, then, only Atilla the Hun was probably more disliked than GWB. It's a bit like saying that my uncle is my favorite uncle--mostly because I only have one uncle.

Do I think that Obama has done a great job--no, not really. He's done okay--given the fact that he persists in wanting to try and create a consensus rather than just ramming through stuff that "the other side" won't like. I mean, seriously, he picked a Republican's health care plan to mimic--openly did so--and kept a lot of GWB's main administrators to keep the place running. I think he is way too idealistic, thinking that the Republican faithful has a long enough attention span to remember that so many of his administrators were GWB's and so many of the things he has "pushed down their throats" were originally Republican ideas.

You guys do know that Obama is loathed on the far left because he has been too complicit with Republicans, right? This loathing is unfair, I think, but at least it is based on documentable reality.

That's politics but let's remember unemployment has been high for ten years. It didn't just happen people are just starting to pay more attention to it. Only one agency lowered the USA from A+ to A we still have an A+ rating with the other 2. The debit ceiling mess with congress was the reason this was done. limit. The debit ceiling has been increased aarpund 7 times during the previosu administration. Obama is trying to protect medicare and all the services the working class and poor need. USA government had been dicussing a universal health care for 40 years in was time for something to be put into place. It's not prefect but it's better than nothng. 30 million americans now have health care instead of my premiums going up 30% every year to pay for those who don't have insurance. It helped me with pre-exiting conditions and keeping my child on my insurance instead of having to pay for cobra which was very expensive a month. As I previosuly wrote everyone needs to stop listening to the media and read up on all of this you'll be shocked just like I was. Nothing prefect and times are real hard but we all need to calm down and realize that if we don't find a common ground we're going to be worst off than we've even been. When that happens NO politican will be able to help us.

If it was even Bin Laden that was captured and killed by the Navy Seals you can thank Mr. Panetta and Hillary Clinton. Our government knew where he was for nine months before any action took place. Mr. Panetta got tired of Obama procrastinating and made all the plans for Bin Laden's capture without Obama's involvement. Hillary Clinton told Panetta that she would back him. Obama was out playing golf and was notified that he should make an appearance. He got there in time to see the results and to claim credit. If you look at the group picture you will see that Obama still has the same clothes he was wearing to play golf.
