This poor guy has been already punished for a crime he wasnt even convicted of. Just goes to show how corrupt and evil our system really is.
I guess I will have to agree with this one. If they are not going to lock him up then their is no need for more punishment though I think this hero buisness could give ideas to younger people. Their are some real sick people that would beat or tourture a would be hero is all I'm saying, it is risky stuff. I still recall the young couple from knoxville Tenn.that was brutaly raped and tourtured. I'm not for the hero stuff but a neiborhood watch would be good.

This guy is a nutjob for whom comic books are the ultimate reality. Would you want him teaching/working with your kids? I wouldn't! And he has no "right" to that type of job. If his employers say he shouldn't be there, who are we, who only know about him what we have read in the media, to say different?

I'm pretty sure Kirk is well aware of that. What exactly constitutes a superhero anyhow? Do you need magical powers, or can you just provide help where help is needed? He just might indeed show up when someone is in dire need of assistance.
Just curious, Bleeding Hearts, why is it that someone has brain damage that likes to help people? Maybe people have brain damage that would just sit around and watch someone get pummeled instead of helping out when minutes are precious waiting for help to arrive elsewhere. Or perhaps it's brain damage that would cause one to think someone else has brain damage who likes to help people. He obviously enjoys working with people seeing that he has been working with autistic children for the past 5 years.
Let him be. We need more people like him in this world. Maybe not a superhero, but a super guy in my book.
What he does at night is irrelevant to his job of helping autistic kids develop life skills. The kids were attached to him as he was there for 5 years, so I think firing him was a big mistake, because the kids will suffer for it and might have a hard time adjusting to a new employee.
If I was the parent of one of his students, and was happy with my childs progress, I'd write to the school board. I don't know what their contract is with their teachers but he wasn't charged much less convicted.

Those with power hate to lose power. Vigilanties, especially when proven to be effective, will inherently threaten the existing systems of power. Therefore it's not really surprising that all of this has played out like it has.
Having said that, I have great respect for these people who are brave (and foolish) enough to want to make a difference. If you want to go after their "community service" aspect, then that's at least trying to hit above the belt. However smear campaigns which are designed to destroy their professional careers and personal lives are just unforgiveable.

I like this guy. The only thing I worry about is his safety. I hope he prospers from his unique way of combating criminal activies because I think he is genuine and honest. Whoever fired him has lost a productive and honest person. He will have a great future.

Have you EVER called 911? Unless you report someone with a gun shooting at you, their response time is typically close to 2 hrs later....or worse. The cops are usually found standing around some inert, after-the-fact crime scene by the dozen, doing nothing but shooing people away and chatting with each other.
call 911 and they'll usually arrest YOU or suggest that they could, or that YOU are wrong somehow, because it's easy and safe for them...
When you watch the video you can hear him tell the camera guy to call 911 and even hear the camera guy do it.. 20 minutes it took for the cops to get there.. yeah go ahead and call 911 it gives criminals 20 minutes to kill you and take your stuff.
So I guess soldiers, policemen, firefighters, crab fishermen, FBI agents, security guards and the like can't teach autistic children even if they want to. Puhleez!
